awesome car man. love urs type of civic. i almost bought one too. i was looking at a 99 civic 2dr ex and my accord. the civic was being auction offed and we thought it would go for a lot more. so i went ahead and bought the accord and a day later. the civic went for a $1000 less than what i was offering him. i was pissed as hell. but any ways keep up the good work.

check out my car too.

I read the story about your oil. That's really strange that you checked it one week and then it's gone the next. It had to go somewhere, but where? :/

Posted By: phixion
Date: 02/14/2006
D@mn, that sucks!! I've burned off like a half quart of oil before, but that was when I did about 80 miles at the track (3 mile long road course) and then drove like 5000 miles on the same oil after that, oops... :-x But it didn't affect anything, oil use returned back to normal after that.

is your engine vtec? cuz you do have a ex. if it's vtec, it wouldn't be all that bad to work on a sohc vtec, u can squeeze some decent hp out of them.

Posted By: egb16acivic
Date: 05/18/2005
looks very nice. if u dont like the altezzas, try selling them and get some stock si tailights. i think it would make it look better, even though it looks really good as it is now.

Posted By: zcrx
Date: 05/17/2005
clean car, i c you're pretty ambtious. i'd lose the altezzas, but just my opinion. good start.

Posted By: bluecivicsi

My advice for your car is to get oem tail lights, 16inch sokudou rims, b16a2 engine swap, 2inch drop. Very clean and nice ride!!! keep up the faith. Takeshi

Even as my car is, I've done a few shows with it, nothing big though just some local hot-rod shows with a tuner/import class. Judges are dumb, esp. at those shows. They just look for the craziest rice out there (they don't know a GOOD import when they see one anyways), but I prsent mine as a functional show racer, though it's not really a show car my really any means, I just auto-X and road race it.

i like your ride! but not the tail lights! i have song on my page! so yeah. you did the same like i did for your interior when i had my last car. well keep up the work!

Actually it's the otherway around, drilled rotors generate MORE heat than flat blank rotors like what comes on the car fro mthe factory. Even slotted heat up more, but not near as much as drilled, since you LOSE surface area with drilled. Less surface area means it has less area for dissipating heat. They won't be any better in wet weather than othet types of rotors, they'd be about the same. I speak from experience, they don't help you stop better, a good set of pads will let you stop better. Supercars have drilled rotors for appearance and looks ONLY, not for performance. NASCAR cars use blank rotors, and when I was at JGTC this past winter here in So. Cali, all the cars in the race (500hp NSX's and 350Z's) ALL used 2-piece slotted rotors, NO drills. These are 190mph+ race cars, no drills. But if you'd still prefer to get them, it's certainly your car of course.

Anyways, the blue things on my suspension is a set of 1-piece billet lower control arms. They aren't meant for looks, Megan Racing happens to just paint them blue or red. I got them to better the handling of my car when I road race.

For the AEM rear kit, www.coximports.com sells them, but you might want to check out www.fastbrakes.com for a similar but supposedly better rear disc kit.

Sounds like you have quite some plans for your Civic. That's cool, so good luck on that. As for one of your future mods listed, I wouldn't recommend getting crossdrilled rotors. They twice as prone to cracking and warping as blank or slotted only rotors, plus they don't provide any stopping advantage on a street car, in fact they can make stopping worse since the rotor surface area is reduced by the holes. My current brake setup consists of Brembo blank rotors and Hawk HPS pads. They stop great and even take the abose I dish them out on the track when road racing and/or auto-X'ing. The setup I used to have was AEM pads and Power Slot rotors, that's also a setup I'd recommend. Power slot rotors are good, and they also have a nice appearance. Just some advice for ya'.

Also, you might save a penny or two and get better results from a Neuspeed upper and lower tie bars. The DC ones (inless it's the new style DC bars) are pretty much show. The color ones (original style that DC made and still makes) you can actually bend and flex with your bare hands, Neuspeed bars you can't do that with. But if it's the twin tube style DC bars, then you'll be fine with that. I'd definitely get a Neuspeed bar for the lower ties though, $30-$50 cheaper than the DC bars, and they are a one-piece design which gives them added strength and flex resistance.

Nice car. You and I think alot alike, haha WHITE hondas. Thats where its at. Yea i really like yours. And just a thought, dont take this as an insult or attack on you but the altezzas should go. Haha. I'll update pics of my taillights. I put my stock ones back on but with an added twist. You'll see soon. Otherwise nice car man.

Nice coupe! I noticed that you plan on putting in a skunk 2 stage 2 cam, wich is not smog legal. If you don't plan on making your ride smog legal I'd go with a DRAG, or Rev Hard turbo kit. They are cheaper and they come with external wastegates. You will be able to make a lot more power with either of them. I have a DRAG kit (Dragturbokits.com) on my '00 EX and it puts out over 200hp to the wheels on just 7lbs of boost. Also if you do plan to get a DRAG kit, get bigger injectors right away and a beefier clutch; my oem one is toast!!!
